Mark L. Stewart, 45 years old of Lafayette, died in St. Elizabeth East on Sunday, August 22.
He was born November 4, 1964 in Danville, IL, to Arthur and Nancy Smith Stewart.
He shared his life with Michael Zink, his life partner on March 22, 1995 in Lafayette; he survives.
Mark worked as a Bus Driver for Lafayette City Bus for 5 years and Lafayette Limo for 8 years.
He was a member of the Bus Drivers Union. Mark enjoyed music, computers, his pets, traveling, and spending time with family.
Surviving are his father Arthur Stewart (wife: Sharon) of Independence; a son, Dustin Stewart of Vincennes; a daughter, Alivia Stewart of Oxford; 2sisters, Jane Perry (husband: Robert) of Franklin and Melodie Stewart of West Lafayette; and a brother, Arthur Stewart Jr. of Independence.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Stewart; a brother, Melvin Stewart; and his grandmother, Ruth Stonger.
Funeral Information
Friends will be received on Wednesday, August 25 at the Fisher-Loy Funeral Chapel, Lafayette from 4-8pm. Services will be held at 10 am Thursday, at the funeral home with Celebrant Patricia Fisher officiating.
