Perinatal Infant Loss Memorial Service
November 05, 2011
Graveside services for 34 beloved tiny souls will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011, in St. Boniface Cemetery, Lafayette.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who have lost babies in the past four months. Perinatal loss or miscarriage is the loss of a baby that a family has dreamed of, treasured and loved. For the past several years, the Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health Services and Fisher-Loy Funeral Chapel have provided burial services for perinatal infant loss quarterly each year at St. Boniface Cemetery. The babies are lovingly prepared for their final resting place with the dignity and care they deserve. A person is a person...no matter how small. Each of these infants represent the hopes and dreams of those who loved them. Now, they will have a permanent resting place where their family can come and remember.
Our prayer is that the families will be comforted and consoled by the love and compassion of others reaching out to them and that they will be aware of God's love always, surrounding them and holding them up during these difficult times.
