Nicholas Simon Peter Watkins, 22, West Lafayette, died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, December 26, 2011 in his residence. Born October 26, 1989, in Hollywood, Florida, he was the highly beloved son of Larry Wayne Watkins and Jeanann Watkins. His mother survives in West Lafayette.
Nicholas was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He deeply loved his family, especially his son and his nephews and nieces. He loved music and from an early age, Nick excelled at sports, enjoying basketball, baseball, skateboarding, and working out. At the time of his death, he was employed at Kirby Risk in manufacturing.
Surviving with his mother are his 7-month old son, Nolan Alan Watkins, of Lafayette; five siblings, Steven R. Watkins, Phoenix, AZ, Tobias S. Watkins, New Castle, IN, Pamala D. Faiola and her husband Jacob, Fishers, IN, Dustin G. Watkins and his wife Ashley, Lafayette, IN, and Kelly M. Watkins, West Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his father.
