Norma Jean Beougher
June 27, 1922 - January 17, 2012
Norma Jean (Warner) Beougher, 89, of Logansport, passed away at 12:17 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2012, in St. Elizabeth East Hospital, Lafayette.
Born June 27, 1922, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Charles Norman and Ruby (Rummell) Warner.
On May 18, 1947, in the Wheatland Avenue United Methodist Church in Logansport, she was married to Charles "Don" Beougher, who survives.
In earlier years, Norma worked as a seamstress at the H.W. Gossard Company. She was retired from the former Hendrickson's Motor Sales where she had worked as a bookkeeper for many years.
An active member of Wheatland Avenue United Methodist Church for over 75 years, Norma also
belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the Royal Center Chapter No. 175 Order of Eastern Star. She had served as Worthy Matron of the former Fidelity Chapter No. 58 Order of Eastern Star in Logansport.
She loved to crochet and do crafts of all kinds. Norma loved to travel. She and her husband had visited every state in America except Alaska and Hawaii.
Surviving with her husband are one daughter-in-law, Cheryl Beougher, Logansport; three grandchildren, Kristi Hogue and her husband Jeff, Craig Beougher and his wife Caryn, and Karen Allen and her husband Charlie; three great-grandchildren, Taelynn Grace Hogue, Jaedren Charles Ellis Hogue, Maekenna Jean Hogue; and one great-granddaughter, Katelynn Rose Beougher, on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved son, Kenneth E. Beougher; and four brothers, Bob, Gene, Jack and infant Harold Warner.
Funeral Information
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2012, in the Wheatland Avenue United Methodist Church with Pastors. Carolyn DeWitt and Don Reed officiating.
Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Januray 19, 2012, in Fisher Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the services on Friday at the church.
