Patricia S. Bahnsen, 62 of Logansport, IN, passed away at 12:16 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010 in St. Elizabeth East Hospital, Lafayette.

Born December 15, 1947 in Sandusky, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late James Wonder and the late Ellanleen Mary Schrader Wonder. Her stepmother, Mary Wonder, also preceded in death.

She was married July 30, 1965, in Sandusky, Ohio, to Donald E. Bahnsen, who survives.

A 1965 graduate of Sandusky High School, Pat was a type setter and proof reader for Farmer's Exchange in Goshen.

Patricia was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and poetry. She had a deep compassion for animals and supported animal resuce. Her absence will be felt by those whose lives were touched by her loving kindness.

Surviving with her husband are 3 Daughters, Dawn Terese Gillis of Logansport, IN, Theresa Lynn Schwartz of Logansport, IN, Carla (John) Jeanine Jackson of Fayetteville, NC; 2 Brothers, James A. Wonder of Circleville, OH, Edwin C. (Okja) Wonder of Hopedale, OH; 14 Grandchildren, Tabatha D. Gillis, Erikka J. Gillis and Halie M. Schwartz, all of Logansport, Zachary R. Jackson, Margret E. Jackson, Jacob D. Jackson, Christopher C. Jackson, Robert M. Jackson, Caleb J. Jackson, Precious M. Jackson, Matthew J. Jackson, Joshua R. Jackson, Eleanor S. Jackson, James P. Jackson, all of Fayetteville, NC; great-grandchildren, McKenna, Austin, Nathaniel and Geavonie.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Rebecca Conger.

Funeral Information

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Fisher Funeral Chapel, where Deacon Juan Rodriguez will officiate in a Celebration of Life at 7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Catholic Church, Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. with Father Mike McKinney officiating.

Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky, Ohio.

Donations Information

Memorial contributions may be made to the Patricia S. Bahnsen Memorial Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
