Thelma B. "Bernice" Miller, 72, of Lafayette, died Thursday, July 1, 2010, at Clarian Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.

She was born February 12, 1938, in Lincoln, AL to the late Thomas E. and Thelma G. (Nail) Roberts. Bernice graduated from Mumford High School in 1956.

Bernice married John W. Miller on August 4, 1956 in Talladega, AL; he survives.

Bernice was a homemaker who enjoyed painting sweatshirts.

Surviving with her husband are 2 sons, Stephan Miller of Lafayette and Randy Miller of San Diego, CA; a brother; Raymond Roberts (Bette) of Texas; and a granddaughter, Jamie Miller.

She was preceded in death by 5 brothers.
